Panther Island Ice returns this holiday season! Located at Coyote Drive-In, Fort Worth's outdoor ice skating rink offers public skating starting on November 22, 2019. The ice rink will operate seven days a week through January 20, 2020, including all holidays. The rink is real ice located mostly under a large pavilion! Patrons can take advantage of the ample free parking, along with the drive-in’s other amenities such as covered seating, gas heaters, restrooms, playground and a full menu including beer and wine options.


Panther Island Ice is open seven days a week, including all holidays, from November 22nd – January 20th. All posted hours are subject to change.

Yes! Gift certificates are available for purchase here and can also be purchased on-site at the ice rink.
No refunds will be given, so we encourage you to check the weather and condition of the ice before purchasing your ticket to skate.
Yes, we have lockers. The lockers are $5 rental fee.
No. The ice skating rink is accessible without a movie ticket. Movie tickets are sold separately.
The maximum skate size is an adult 13.
Skates other than speed skates are allowed. The full admission charge is still required to skate.

You will get wet! The rink can operate in nearly all weather conditions. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing. This is an outdoor event and no refunds will be given due to inclement weather. In the unlikely event that the manager deems it necessary to close the ice rink, alternative sessions will be offered for skating, subject to availability. If warm weather arises, there is a chance the ice will have wet areas and you will get wet if you fall.
There is no minimum age for children, but all children under 12 years of age must be supervised. Our smallest skate size is children's size 9. We also offer adjustable double blade skates for children 3 and under. These make scooting around the ice easier and will work for any child who is able to walk on their own. We advise parents to use their discretion as to whether the child will enjoy the experience if they are very young.
No one is allowed on the ice without appropriate ice skates. Parents and guardians are not allowed to carry children while on the ice.
Skating time may be limited to 90 minutes during peak times.
Yes. Seasonal food and beverages will be available in addition to the full menu offered at the Coyote Canteen. If you are having a birthday party, you may bring a cake or cupcakes.
The ice rink is outdoors and therefore you should plan to dress warm enough to sustain being outside in the daily conditions. Socks are required (tall socks are encouraged) . Gloves are recommended regardless of the conditions and will also be available for purchase on site. At times the ice may become wet, skaters should dress accordingly.
Yes. However, you cannot access them while wearing skates. You must remove your skates before going to the restroom.
Revenues from the skate rentals will cover installation and staffing expenses at Panther Island Ice. Any proceeds will go into river recreation and programming initiatives on Panther Island.
Yes! We offer group discounts for parties of 15-50 people. Learn more about discounts, party packages and to make your reservation.

If your party will include more than 50 people special accommodations can be made. Simply call (817) 698-0700 and we will be more than happy to work with you to schedule your outing.

If your party is smaller than 15 people you do not qualify for the group discount and no advance reservation is required. Simply arrive at the ice rink and follow the standard skate rental process. If you would like to purchase movie tickets, food and/or beverages for your smaller group you may do so once you arrive at the rink.
No. Panther Island Ice is a seasonal event. It is open to the public seven days a week, including holidays, from November 22, 2019 through January 20, 2020.
No! Admission is only required for those wishing to skate. If you would like to sit back and watch friends and family on the ice you are welcome to do so free of charge.
